Pashtuns Ready to Make Any Sacrifice for Their Rights, National Unity and Control Over Resources: PKMAP

QUETTA: The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PKMAP) has said that the Pashtun nation is prepared to make every sacrifice for the attainment of its constitutional rights, national unity, democratic values, and authority over its natural resources.

In a press release issued by the party’s central secretariat, PKMAP expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people who participated in a massive public gathering held in Qila Saifullah on June 21 to mark the fifth death anniversary of prominent Pashtun nationalist leader, the late Usman Khan Kakar.

The party stated that people from across Southern Pashtunkhwa and other parts of the country—including workers, farmers, traders, women, youth, students, teachers, doctors, engineers, lawyers, intellectuals, journalists, and members of various professions—attended the gathering in large numbers. According to the statement, the overwhelming participation demonstrated the public’s deep commitment to the ideology and political struggle of Usman Khan Kakar and the national stance of PKMAP.

The party said the historic gathering reaffirmed that Pashtuns remain firmly united behind their national political movement and are determined to continue their struggle for constitutional, democratic, and political rights. It added that the enthusiasm, discipline, and political awareness displayed by participants highlighted the community’s resolve to safeguard its identity, resources, and collective interests.

Paying tribute to Usman Khan Kakar, PKMAP described him as a fearless and principled leader who dedicated his life to democracy, constitutional supremacy, human rights, and the rights of oppressed nations. The party said his sacrifices, political vision, and commitment to public service have secured him a lasting place in the hearts of the Pashtun people.

The statement further noted that the Qila Saifullah gathering was one of the most significant political events in the province’s recent history and would serve as a milestone for the Pashtun national movement and PKMAP’s future political activities.

PKMAP also thanked its workers, district organizations, volunteers, and local leadership in Qila Saifullah for their efforts in organizing the event and ensuring successful arrangements.

The party emphasized that the large turnout sent a clear message to forces allegedly responsible for depriving Pashtuns of their political, economic, social, and national rights. It said the gathering demonstrated that the Pashtun nation remains united in its pursuit of rights, national cohesion, democratic progress, and control over its resources.

Reaffirming its commitment, PKMAP pledged to intensify its democratic and political struggle for the protection of Pashtun rights, the resolution of public issues, the prevention of illegal land allotments, improved security, employment opportunities, and better access to education and healthcare services.

The statement concluded with renewed appreciation for all participants and expressed confidence that the public would continue to support the party’s national and democratic struggle in the future.
