Balochistan Issues Can Only Be Resolved Through Dialogue, Not Force: Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch

Quetta (News Desk) — Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch has said that the long-standing issues of Balochistan cannot be resolved through force or coercion, but only through dialogue, jirgas, and constitutional and democratic processes.

Speaking to various delegations in Quetta, the provincial Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of the Provincial Assembly emphasized that meaningful engagement and mutual understanding within the framework of law are essential for lasting peace and stability in the province.

He said that Balochistan is currently facing a serious situation marked by fear, uncertainty, insecurity, and public deprivation. He added that years of flawed policies, excessive use of force, and neglect of public grievances have weakened youth trust in politics, democracy, and state institutions—an outcome that is harmful not only for Balochistan but for the entire country.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch stressed that all stakeholders must adopt a serious approach and work through dialogue, jirgas, and political engagement to find sustainable solutions that ensure peace, stability, and development.

He also announced that Jamaat-e-Islami has launched a membership and outreach campaign across Balochistan aimed at uniting people from all walks of life, including youth, students, religious scholars, women, traders, and professionals on a principled political platform.

He said the party stands against sectarianism, ethnic division, and hate politics, and instead promotes Islamic values, democracy, constitutional supremacy, transparency, and justice. He described Jamaat-e-Islami as a disciplined political and religious movement free from hereditary politics, corruption, and nepotism.

Highlighting socio-economic challenges, he noted that despite Balochistan’s vast natural resources, the province continues to suffer from lack of basic facilities such as education, healthcare, clean water, employment, security, and infrastructure.

He further stated that governance failures and security policies based on force have worsened public grievances, increasing distrust and unrest. He urged that youth should be provided education, employment, and constructive opportunities instead of being pushed toward frustration or extremism.

He concluded by calling on people from all segments of society to join Jamaat-e-Islami’s membership drive and participate in its organizational and outreach efforts to help build a Balochistan based on justice, peace, and honest leadership.
