Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey Endorse “Islamabad Memorandum” at Regional-4 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting
ISLAMABAD: A new phase of regional diplomacy has been marked as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey jointly welcomed the US–Iran “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding” during the fourth consultative meeting of the Regional-4 Foreign Ministers’ forum.
According to a joint communiqué issued after the meeting held in Cairo, the four countries described the agreement between Washington and Tehran as a significant step toward reducing regional tensions and stabilizing global energy and supply chains.
The foreign ministers reviewed key regional issues, including Middle East security dynamics, energy market stability, and the long-standing Palestine conflict.

The statement particularly acknowledged Pakistan’s role in facilitating diplomatic efforts that contributed to the understanding between the United States and Iran, while also appreciating Qatar’s mediation initiatives.
The communiqué emphasized that the benefits of the agreement would only be sustainable if all parties fully comply with the commitments made under the accord.
The ministers also agreed that future diplomatic frameworks must take into account the security concerns of regional states, particularly Gulf Arab countries, to ensure long-term stability.

Reiterating their stance on the Palestinian issue, the four countries reaffirmed their support for an independent and sovereign State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement expressed deep concern over the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, calling on the international community to speak with a unified voice in support of justice and peace.
In conclusion, the ministers endorsed the vision of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for regional peace, describing it as a key milestone for future diplomacy in the Middle East.
