PTI Lawyer Rejects Rumors About Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Yasmin Rashid’s Health
Lahore:** Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyer **Barrister Taimur Malik** has dismissed social media reports regarding the health and well-being of senior party leaders **Shah Mahmood Qureshi** and **Dr. Yasmin Rashid**, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a post on X, Malik said both leaders are safe and currently being held at **Kot Lakhpat Jail** in Lahore. He added that their status had also been confirmed by lawyer **Mudassar Umar** through jail authorities.
Malik explained that a scheduled trial hearing at the prison was postponed by the court until later this week, which is why legal representatives were unable to meet the detainees on the day.
While rejecting the viral rumors, he noted that the courts and prison authorities have been informed about the serious and deteriorating medical conditions of **Dr. Yasmin Rashid** and **Ijaz Chaudhry**. He said multiple applications have been filed seeking their medical treatment and transfer to a hospital.
