Rana Sanaullah Warns Against Armed Mobilization in Azad Kashmir

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah has stated that while peaceful protest and long marches are a democratic right, the government will not allow any armed mobilization aimed at taking control of Muzaffarabad.
Speaking on Geo News’ program *Jirga*, hosted by Salim Safi, Rana Sanaullah said that the movement for Kashmir has been nurtured through the sacrifices of millions of martyrs and cannot be compromised at the demand of any committee. He added that the government made several offers to the concerned group, but those proposals were repeatedly rejected.
He alleged that the banned Joint Awami Action Committee has received funding and support from foreign forces. According to Sanaullah, the committee initially did not demand the abolition of refugee seats but later expanded its demands.
The prime minister’s aide further claimed that the committee also called for removing provisions from lawmakers’ oath related to accession to Pakistan, describing the demand as unacceptable.
Rana Sanaullah reiterated that the government supports peaceful political activity but will take action against any attempt to use force or armed groups to challenge the state’s authority in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The special interview was aired on Geo News’ program *Jirga* on Saturday night.
