Iran Yet to Respond to New U.S. Draft Proposal, Says Fars News Agency
Tehran:** Iran has not yet submitted its response to the latest draft proposal presented by the United States, according to Iran’s Fars News Agency.
Citing a member of the media team accompanying the Iranian negotiating delegation, Fars reported that if both sides reach an agreement on the draft, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran will be implemented in four phases.
The Iranian official also stressed that Tehran would not accept any agreement that ignores Lebanon’s interests or sidelines issues related to the country.
According to Iranian media reports, Iran’s response to the new U.S. proposal is still under review and has not yet been formally delivered to Washington.
The reports further stated that the first phase of the Islamabad talks failed because Iran refused to participate in nuclear negotiations at that stage.
The developments come as diplomatic efforts continue between Washington and Tehran to resolve longstanding disputes over Iran’s nuclear program and regional security issues.
