Federal Government Decides to Present Next Fiscal Budget on June 10

Islamabad (News Desk) — The federal government has decided to present the upcoming fiscal year budget on June 10 instead of June 5, according to official statements.
Speaking on a private TV program, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that the budget date had been shifted to allow more time for consultations with coalition partners.
He stated that additional time is needed to convince allied parties regarding the budget proposals, adding that coalition governments typically face two major challenges: preparing the budget and managing consensus among partners.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry further clarified that the delay in the budget presentation is not linked to elections in Gilgit-Baltistan. He also described the Pakistan Peoples Party as a cooperative coalition partner.
Commenting on political matters, he alleged growing internal differences within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), particularly between Ali Amin Gandapur and Sohail Afridi’s group.
He advised PTI leaders to resolve their internal disputes before focusing on political activities in Gilgit-Baltistan, adding that any federal intervention could destabilize the provincial setup within days.
The federal budget will now be formally presented on June 10, following final consultations with coalition partners.
