Wasim Akram Clarifies Rumours About His Hajj Journey

Islamabad (Khabar Agency) – Former national cricket captain and legendary swing bowler Wasim Akram has responded to social media speculation regarding his recent pilgrimage to Hajj.

Wasim Akram performed Hajj this year alongside former captain Misbah-ul-Haq and television presenter Fakhr-e-Alam. Pictures and videos of their spiritual journey had widely circulated on social media.

In a statement shared on social media, Akram wrote: “Alhamdulillah! I am extremely grateful to Allah Almighty for granting me the blessing of performing Hajj.”

Addressing the rumours and assumptions circulating online about who sponsored or facilitated his journey, the former captain clarified that it was entirely his personal decision. He said he had reached a spiritual point in life where performing Hajj had become necessary and deeply meaningful for him.

Wasim Akram further stated that the sacred pilgrimage has ignited a lasting spiritual feeling within him, adding that he prays more people are encouraged to undertake this blessed journey and experience its spiritual peace and fulfilment.
