**Karachi (Qudrat Daily)** —
Inspector General of Sindh Police **Ghulam Nabi Memon** has ordered strict action against unlicensed drivers in Karachi, announcing **hefty fines of up to Rs50,000** for those found driving without a valid license.

According to the new directives, motorists caught without a driving license will face substantial penalties:

* **Rs20,000** for **motorcyclists**,
* **Rs30,000** for **Light Transport Vehicle (LTV)** drivers, and
* **Rs50,000** for **Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV)** drivers.

The new fines will be **implemented across Sindh**, not just in Karachi. In addition, the police have also introduced **new speed limits** on major city roads to help **reduce traffic accidents**.

Under the updated rules, **motorcycles and LTVs** are limited to a **maximum speed of 60 km/h**, while **heavy vehicles** must not exceed **30 km/h**. To enforce these regulations, **speed monitoring cameras** are being installed throughout Karachi to automatically record traffic violations.

The initiative aims to **promote responsible driving behavior**, **improve road safety**, and **minimize traffic accidents** across the province.
