Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub Ruled Out of Selection for Australia Series, Confirms PCB

Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (Pakistan Cricket Board) has confirmed that opening batters Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub will not be available for selection in the upcoming series against Australia due to injuries.
In an official statement, the PCB said both players are currently recovering and undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of the board’s medical staff. It added that they are progressing through their recovery process and are not yet fit for selection.
The board extended its best wishes for the players’ speedy recovery and said that further updates regarding the squad and player fitness will be shared in due course.
Meanwhile, Australia’s cricket team is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on May 23, with the One-Day International (ODI) series set to begin on May 30. The remaining matches will be played on June 2 and June 4.
The Pakistan team is set to begin training in Rawalpindi from May 22 and will also play a practice match ahead of the series.
