No Decision Yet on Replacing Balochistan Chief Minister, Says Bilawal Bhutto

ISLAMABAD/QUETTA – Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, has said that no decision has yet been made regarding any change in the leadership of the Balochistan government, adding that party workers and supporters will be heard during his visit to the province.
Speaking in a special interview, Bilawal Bhutto said he would visit Quetta to inaugurate various development projects and meet party leaders, workers, and supporters to listen to their concerns and complaints.
He stated that the PPP believes in resolving public issues and promoting development in all provinces, particularly in Balochistan, which he described as an important province facing long-standing deprivation.
Responding to a question about the possible replacement of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Bilawal Bhutto said no final decision had been taken so far and that all matters would be resolved through consultation within the party.
The PPP chairman also expressed reservations over the upcoming federal budget, claiming that his party had not been taken into confidence during the budget-making process.
“If our concerns and proposals are not seriously considered, it will be difficult for us to support the budget,” he warned.
Bilawal Bhutto added that the PPP wants a people-friendly budget that provides relief to the poor and ensures protection of provincial rights.
Commenting on foreign policy, he said Pakistan’s diplomatic strategy was moving in the right direction and that the country’s international image had improved. He further claimed that Pakistan’s role regarding mediation efforts between Iran and the United States had been appreciated globally, enhancing Pakistan’s diplomatic importance.
He emphasized that Pakistan would continue playing a positive role in promoting peace, stability, and regional cooperation, while stressing the need for political unity to achieve economic stability and internal harmony.
