CCD Launches Probe Into Anmol Alias Pinki Arrest Case in Lahore

Lahore: The Crime Control Department (CCD) has launched a formal investigation into the case involving the arrest of Anmol alias Pinki from Lahore, following directives from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

According to sources cited by local media, the CCD has initiated a detailed inquiry into the matter and plans to produce the suspect in court after completing necessary procedures. Reports indicate that while the suspect’s brother, Riaz, has already been arrested in the same case, Anmol alias Pinki was neither declared an absconder nor formally included in the criminal record at earlier stages.

Officials further revealed that the CCD will also question a retired investigating officer who previously handled the case, along with a former police inspector, who is believed to be the woman’s alleged husband and has also been summoned for interrogation.

Authorities say further developments are expected as investigators examine procedural gaps and new evidence emerging in the case.
