Bilal Qureshi Reacts Strongly to Maryam Nawaz’s 2026 Inflation Claim

Islamabad: Pakistani actor Bilal Qureshi has expressed strong criticism over remarks attributed to Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz regarding inflation trends in 2026.
A video clip of Maryam Nawaz has gone viral on social media in which she is seen stating that inflation was rising before 2024, remained “stable” in 2024 and 2025, and has now “declined in 2026,” claiming that the inflation graph is moving downward.

In the same clip, government officials and attendees are seen applauding her remarks.
Reacting to the viral video, Bilal Qureshi shared his frustration on Instagram Stories, questioning the statement and its implications for ordinary citizens.
“Are you really serious? These are not claps, these are slaps on the faces of the poor,” the actor wrote.
He further added a strongly worded comment, saying, “At this point, it feels like all that is left for the poor is suicide,” along with an angry emoji to express his dissatisfaction.
The actor’s remarks quickly circulated on social media, sparking debate among users over rising living costs and economic conditions.
