Farah Iqbal Reveals Marriage with Iqrar-ul-Hassan Was an Arranged One, Opens Up About Her Relationship

Lahore:Farah Iqbal, the second wife of renowned anchorperson Iqrar-ul-Hassan, has recently shared personal insights about her marriage and relationship with the media. She disclosed that her marriage to Iqrar was not based on love but was an arranged marriage. Despite the pressures of public perception, Farah expressed a desire to change her name on social media profiles but explained that doing so could affect her verified status.

Speaking about her relationship with Iqrar, Farah mentioned that she doesn’t get angry or question him, and she avoids unnecessary conflicts. Farah revealed that she never asks her husband for gifts, and in fact, she often gives him more gifts than he gives her. She mentioned that the most expensive gift Iqrar had ever given her was an iPhone five years ago.

On the topic of marriage, Farah stated that while marriage is an important part of life, it doesn’t define one’s entire existence. She expressed that she doesn’t believe in keeping strict watch over a partner or imposing restrictions. According to her, people will do what they want regardless of limitations, and life cannot be lived with suspicion or constraints.

Farah also spoke out against domestic violence, emphasizing that the first slap marks the beginning of abuse. She expressed sympathy for women who share their wounds on social media, reflecting how helpless they must feel. She questioned why women endure such abuse, ruining their lives in the process.

Regarding her decision to change her name on social media, Farah clarified that it was due to her existing accounts being linked to her previous name, and changing it would cause her verified status to be lost. She expressed that some people may mistakenly believe that a name change signals a separation, but that was not the case.

Farah explained that her marriage was arranged when Iqrar-ul-Hassan chose her and spoke to her father. Initially, she refused the proposal, but after further discussions with both families, she was persuaded to accept the marriage.

Farah Iqbal, who is also a former news anchor and TV host, is currently based in Lahore. She runs a successful YouTube channel where she posts daily vlogs, offering her audience a glimpse into her life.
