Saudi Arabia Expands Digital Facilities for Hajj Pilgrims Through Tawakkalna App

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has accelerated efforts to modernize and simplify Hajj management through its national digital application Tawakkalna.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, pilgrims benefiting from the Makkah Route Initiative will now be able to electronically access their Hajj permits and travel documents before departing from their home countries.
The digital system has been developed in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority with the aim of making the Hajj journey faster, more organized, and secure.
Through this integrated digital platform, multiple government departments are connected on a centralized system, making the verification of passengers’ personal and biometric data more efficient and convenient.
Pilgrims can access permits and other necessary travel documents through the Tawakkalna app from the very beginning of their journey, helping streamline the entire process until their arrival in Makkah.
Under the Makkah Route Initiative, pilgrims from selected countries complete several immigration, customs, and health clearance procedures at airports in their own countries before departure.
The Tawakkalna app is currently one of Saudi Arabia’s largest digital service platforms, with millions of users and access to hundreds of public and private sector services.
Saudi authorities said the initiative is part of the Kingdom’s broader vision for digital transformation, improved public services, and easier travel arrangements for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
