Saudi Authorities Warn of Up to SAR 50,000 Fine and Six-Month Jail for Failure to Report Visit Visa Overstays

**Islamabad** – Saudi Public Security has issued a warning that failure to report visit visa holders who overstay their permitted duration could result in fines of up to 50,000 Saudi riyals and imprisonment for up to six months.

In an official statement, Public Security urged both Saudi citizens and residents to promptly report individuals who remain in the Kingdom beyond the validity of their visit visas. Authorities cautioned that strict legal penalties would be imposed on those who fail to comply.

The statement further warned that expatriate residents who do not report visit visa overstays could face deportation from Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, recent statistics released by the General Directorate of Passports revealed that administrative committees issued 19,559 decisions within a single month against violations related to residency (Iqama), labor, and border security laws.

The penalties imposed included imprisonment, fines, and deportation. Authorities also urged citizens and expatriates to refrain from providing transportation, employment, housing, shelter, or any form of assistance or concealment to individuals violating residency, labor, or border security regulations.
