Attempts to Form YDA Balochistan Cabinet in Closed Rooms Condemned, Demand for Transparent Elections Raised”

Quetta – The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Balochistan has expressed strong concern over what it described as repeated attempts by a “specific group” to form the provincial cabinet through closed-door arrangements instead of a democratic and electoral process.
In a statement issued by the YDA media cell, it was said that such practices could divide the medical community and cause irreparable damage to the organization, which represents young doctors in the province.
The statement emphasized that the only legitimate and democratic method for forming the provincial cabinet of YDA Balochistan is through transparent and fair elections. It warned that any cabinet formed without elections would have no organizational legitimacy.
The association alleged that a certain group is attempting to impose its preferences through non-transparent means, which it said is damaging the unity of the doctors’ community. It added that similar practices in the past had already harmed the organization.
YDA Balochistan further stated that doctors, health department employees, trade unions, political parties, media representatives, and civil society members should clearly understand that only an elected cabinet formed through proper democratic procedures can represent the doctors’ community.
The statement strongly rejected any non-democratic formation of leadership, saying it would not be acceptable under any circumstances. It also warned that any consequences arising from such actions would be the responsibility of those involved.
The association urged all doctors to remain united, prevent further division within the organization, and collectively demand transparent elections where all members are given equal opportunity to participate.
It concluded by calling on the medical community to stay vigilant and raise their voice for the protection of democratic values within the organization.
