Supreme Court Aims to Strengthen Judicial Cooperation with China

Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has expressed its commitment to further expand judicial cooperation with China, focusing on judicial reforms, modern training, and the integration of technology in the justice system.
According to an official statement issued by the Supreme Court, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the Supreme People’s Court of China in August 2025 to enhance institutional collaboration between the two countries’ judicial systems.
The statement added that prominent judges from the district judiciary are being provided opportunities for international training to improve the efficiency of the lower courts and strengthen the justice delivery system at the grassroots level.
In this regard, an Additional Sessions Judge from Balochistan and a Senior Civil Judge from Mithi are expected to visit China to participate in professional training programs.
It was further stated that judges from Bannu and Dera Ghazi Khan will attend a legal training course in Shanghai in May 2026.
Additionally, a delegation of Pakistani IT experts is scheduled to visit Beijing in July 2026 to observe advancements in artificial intelligence and digital transformation in judicial systems.
The Supreme Court emphasized that enhancing judicial capacity at the lower level and modernizing the justice system remain key priorities under its ongoing reform agenda.
