Poverty and Insecurity Have Made Life Difficult for Balochistan People, Government Must Focus on Education and Employment: Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman

Quetta: Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan leader and Member Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch has said that illiteracy, poverty, corruption, and insecurity have made life extremely difficult for the common people of Balochistan.
He expressed these views during a visit to Jamia-tul-Muhsinat Girls Degree College in Quetta, where he addressed students and teachers. On the occasion, several party leaders and female education officials were also present.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman said that Jamaat-e-Islami is striving at every level to promote education for women and girls. He emphasized that institutions like Jamia-tul-Muhsinat are playing an important role in educating girls, and urged parents and guardians to take responsibility for ensuring education for their daughters.
He stated that education is a religious obligation for every Muslim man and woman, and called on graduates of Jamia-tul-Muhsinat to establish more educational institutions across Balochistan so that knowledge can spread widely. He said that if “one lamp lights another,” it can help illuminate the entire province with education.
He further stressed that both the government and private sector should make education accessible and affordable, and ensure such revolutionary efforts are implemented in every district.
Addressing the students, he highlighted the importance of knowledge, character building, and religious education for women. He said that women are the foundation of society, and a well-educated and morally strong woman can raise a responsible and ethical generation.
He added that if women understand and fulfill their moral and religious responsibilities, society can naturally move towards reform and progress.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman advised students to adopt knowledge, good character, modesty, awareness, and public service as guiding principles, saying this would enable them to play an effective role in building an ideal Islamic society.
