Health Secretary Dawood Khilji Reaffirms Commitment to Transparency in Healthcare: Visits MSD, Orders Immediate Supply of Medicines to Hospitals

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily)** — Balochistan Health Secretary Dawood Khan Khilji has reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and efficiency in the health sector during his visit to the Medical Stores Depot (MSD) in Quetta. He was accompanied by Special Secretary Health Shahak Baloch and other senior officials.
During the visit, Additional Director MSD Dr. Mir Yousaf briefed the secretary on the province-wide procurement of medicines in accordance with the new fiscal year’s health budget.
Secretary Khilji directed MSD officials to utilize all available resources to ensure that no hospital in the province faces a shortage of medicines. He emphasized that the top priority of the Health Department is to provide uninterrupted medical services to the people of Balochistan and stressed the need for coordinated teamwork across all departments.
He instructed MSD to complete the procurement process for medicines, medical equipment, and machinery transparently and without delay, ensuring timely delivery to tertiary care hospitals and district health facilities.
Secretary Khilji also ordered the immediate recruitment of procurement specialists and the filling of other vacant positions at MSD to expedite operations. He expressed confidence that the overall situation was improving and that the procurement of all essential medicines would soon be completed.
During his visit, the Health Secretary inspected various sections of the MSD and reviewed ongoing processes to strengthen supply chain efficiency and transparency in healthcare delivery across the province.
