Pakistan Embassy in Oman Revises Passport Collection Timings, Announces New Fees

Islamabad: The Embassy of Pakistan in Oman has announced important changes for Pakistani citizens residing in Oman, including revised passport collection timings and updated fee structures.
According to the embassy, the new schedule will come into effect from May 1, 2026. The changes aim to improve the efficiency of consular services, reduce public congestion, and provide greater convenience to citizens.
Under the revised timings, passports can now be collected from Sunday to Thursday during designated hours: from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and again from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The embassy has made it mandatory for applicants to bring their original token receipt and old passport when collecting new documents. Without these, passports will not be handed over.
A detailed fee structure has also been issued. For a 5-year validity passport with 36 pages, the normal fee has been set at 12 Omani Riyals, while the urgent service will cost 19 Riyals. For a 10-year validity passport with 36 pages, fees start from 17 Riyals.
The embassy also warned citizens about strict penalties in case of passport loss. A lost passport for the first time will result in double fees, while a second loss may lead to fees increasing up to four times. For instance, a second-time loss of a 100-page urgent passport could result in fees rising up to 208 Omani Riyals.
Officials have urged citizens to adhere to the new timings and safeguard their travel documents to avoid inconvenience and additional costs.
