Islamabad: Australia has expressed deep disappointment over the failure of Iran–U.S. مذاکرات held in Islamabad to reach a final agreement, urging both sides to respect the ceasefire and return to dialogue.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong called on Washington and Tehran to prioritize peace and stability in the region by fully adhering to the existing ceasefire and resuming negotiations without delay.
Speaking to media, Wong described the conclusion of the initial talks without a concrete outcome as “disappointing,” stressing that maintaining the ceasefire must remain the top priority for all parties involved.
She warned that any further escalation in the conflict between the United States and Iran could lead to significant loss of life and have severe negative consequences for the global economy.
