US Approves Multi-Billion Dollar Arms Sale to UAE, Including Missiles and Helicopters

Washington: According to a report by a US newspaper, the Trump administration has approved the sale of nearly $7 billion worth of advanced weapons to the United Arab Emirates.
The deal reportedly includes approximately $5.6 billion for Patriot missile systems and $1.3 billion for advanced combat helicopters.
The US has previously announced arms sales totaling $16.5 billion to three Gulf countries, a move expected to further strengthen regional defense cooperation.
In a recent telephone call, US President Donald Trump and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed recent Iranian attacks and the tense situation in the Middle East. Both leaders condemned attempts to target civilians and critical infrastructure in the UAE and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region.
