Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Moin Riaz Qureshi Taken into Custody

Lahore: Police have taken into custody Moin Riaz Qureshi, the Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly, according to reports.

As per local media reports, including Samaa TV, a spokesperson for the opposition leader stated that Qureshi was detained from Kallar Kahar. Along with him, three members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were also taken into custody.

The detained lawmakers include Farukh Javed Moon and Ali Imtiaz Warraich. According to the spokesperson, they were detained while traveling to Adiala Jail and were shifted to a prisoner transport vehicle. PTI had reportedly directed its assembly members to reach Adiala Jail earlier in the day.

However, police sources have not yet officially confirmed the arrests of the PTI leaders.
