Balochistan Government Takes Strict Measures to Curb Misuse of Official Vehicles

Quetta: Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, a review meeting on national austerity measures approved strict actions to prevent misuse of government resources across the province. It was decided that official vehicles used by former governors, chief ministers, ministers, ex-members, and unrelated officials would be returned immediately, with action against violators.

The meeting also approved a full audit of all government vehicles, and fuel will be issued only to verified vehicles. Vehicles older than 2005 will be auctioned in phases, and rationalization of the fleet was approved.

A ban was imposed on the use of official vehicles after office hours, which can only be used with authorization from competent authorities. All vehicles will be fitted with trackers, travel outside the province will be prohibited, and movement within cities will be monitored via Safe City cameras.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti stated that waste of public resources will not be tolerated and strict implementation of austerity measures will be ensured. Actions will be taken against any violation of rules or unnecessary use of official vehicles without discrimination.
