ANF Arrests Eight Suspects, Seizes Over 164kg Drugs in Nationwide Crackdown

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested eight suspects during a nationwide crackdown against drug trafficking across multiple cities in Pakistan.
According to an ANF spokesperson, a total of 164.38 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs262 million were recovered in eight separate operations.
In Lahore, authorities seized 7.8 kilograms of methamphetamine (“ice”) concealed in clothing from a parcel destined for Australia. In another case, 503 grams of hashish hidden in an abdominal strap were recovered from a package being shipped to Saudi Arabia.
In Sheikhupura, 78 kilograms of hashish were recovered from two vehicles near the Chahl Kalan Toll Plaza, leading to the arrest of three suspects.
Meanwhile, in Karachi, 39.6 kilograms of hashish were seized from a suspect in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, while an additional 30 kilograms were recovered from a vehicle in Gadap Town, where two individuals were taken into custody.
In Rawalpindi, authorities recovered 4.8 kilograms of methamphetamine and 300 grams of heroin from a suspect near the railway station. Another individual was arrested near Faizabad Bus Terminal with 1 kilogram of methamphetamine.
Additionally, near Gwadar, ANF officials recovered 4,500 ecstasy pills weighing 2.38 kilograms.
All cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act 1997, and further investigations are underway, according to officials.
