Online Verification Facility Launched for Character Certificates and Passport Renewal for Overseas Pakistanis

**Islamabad:** The federal authorities have introduced an online verification facility for overseas Pakistanis, enabling them to obtain character certificates, renew passports, and verify official documents digitally.

The Islamabad Police has launched the “Global PKM” application to facilitate Pakistanis living abroad. Director General Safe City Islamabad Haroon Joiya said that all services previously available at Pakistan’s Khidmat Markaz centers can now be accessed online by overseas citizens.

Haroon Joiya described the launch of the PKM application as a significant milestone in digital governance. He stated that the facility has been extended through Pakistani embassies and consulates in more than 40 countries.

According to officials, police character certificates will now be verified through an employer verification feature integrated into the app. The platform will also allow verification of employees and other related documentation.

Authorities said the initiative aims to make essential services more accessible and convenient for Pakistanis residing abroad by providing secure and efficient digital solutions.
