Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti, Son of Nawab Akbar Bugti, Passes Away in Karachi

Karachi/Quetta: Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti, son of former Balochistan Governor Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, has passed away in Karachi due to cardiac arrest. He was receiving treatment at the National Medical Centre, Karachi, after his health deteriorated suddenly.

Family sources said that the late Nawabzada had been unwell for some time, but his condition worsened unexpectedly, prompting an emergency transfer to the hospital, where he could not be saved.

A prominent figure of Balochistan’s political and tribal Bugti family, Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti was considered the custodian of his father’s political and tribal legacy and actively voiced opinions on provincial and tribal matters.

His death has sent waves of grief across Balochistan and other political and tribal circles in Pakistan, with condolences pouring in on social media. The body is expected to be transported from Karachi to his native area in Dera Bugti for burial, with funeral arrangements to be announced.
