Historic Kabaddi Festival Marks End of 36-Year Feud in Qila Abdullah, Promotes Peace and Joy

Qila Abdullah (Balochistan): In the Golistan area of Norak Salman Khel, Qila Abdullah district, a historic Kabaddi festival was held to celebrate the end of a 36-year-long tribal feud and bloodshed.

The festival, revived after nearly 45 years, drew large crowds eager to enjoy traditional sports and local festivities. Renowned wrestlers from Pakistan and Afghanistan showcased their skills, winning the hearts of spectators.

Cultural elements were also highlighted during the event, with organizers presenting the players with traditional Pashtun turbans, symbolizing brotherhood and mutual respect.

On the second day, a grand awards ceremony took place at Golistan Bazaar, where top-performing players were honored with a car and two motorcycles.

Local residents expressed optimism, saying that such positive events demonstrate that Golistan is transforming into a hub of peace and sports, with the community now focused on development and prosperity rather than past rivalries.
