Massive Land Corruption Scandal Uncovered in Quetta Development Authority

Quetta:A major corruption scandal has surfaced within the Quetta Development Authority (QDA), involving the illegal distribution of government lands and misuse of public resources. According to highly credible sources, land originally allocated for public welfare projects such as housing schemes, dairy farms, and other facilities has allegedly been handed over to Afghan refugees and land mafia groups by QDA officials in exchange for small bribes.

It has been revealed that around 150 acres of land designated for dairy farms has been illegally occupied by non-local individuals, reportedly as a result of blackmail and deep-rooted corruption. Additionally, the entire land of the Rakhshan Housing Scheme has also been unlawfully distributed.

Further reports indicate that not only QDA officers but also certain police personnel—illegally retained in the department beyond their deputation period—are involved. These individuals are allegedly extorting money in private housing schemes and issuing illegal permits for constructing unauthorized shops on roads and alleyways in areas like Truck Adda, Satellite Town, and Hazarganji.

In light of these serious allegations, a strong appeal has been made to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, the Chief Secretary, and the Chairman of QDA to take immediate action to protect public interest and restore the integrity of the authority.
