Terror Attempts Foiled in Quetta; Security Forces Respond Swiftly

Quetta: Two separate attempts of terrorism were successfully foiled in Quetta, according to Babar Khan Yousafzai, Adviser to the Interior Department of the Government of Balochistan.

He stated that upon receiving intelligence about the presence of militants, law enforcement agencies, including the Frontier Corps (FC) and police, launched a swift and effective response, forcing the attackers to flee.

During their escape, the militants reportedly opened fire on civilians, injuring five people. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta, where they are receiving medical treatment.

Babar Khan Yousafzai alleged that the attackers were linked to hostile external elements and targeted innocent civilians to fulfill their objectives.

He assured that all security forces remain on high alert and that the overall security situation across Balochistan is under control. The provincial government is committed to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens at all costs.

He also urged the public and media to avoid spreading unverified information and rely only on official sources, adding that police and other institutions are fully engaged in serving the people.
