Dead Dolphin Calf Found Floating Near Gwadar Coast; Dolphins Seen Guarding It

Gwadar: A dolphin calf was found floating dead near the Guns Beach area of Gwadar, creating a distressing scene along the coastline. According to local fishermen, several dolphins remained close to the calf and were seen repeatedly pushing it toward the shore, apparently attempting to protect or help it.

Fishermen said the dolphins stayed near the body for a considerable time, reflecting strong social and protective behavior commonly observed among dolphins.

Meanwhile, two more dead sea turtles were discovered along Gwadar’s western coastline. Deputy Director Environment Abdul Rahim stated that a total of five sea turtles have been found dead along the Balochistan coast during the current month.

Environmental experts have expressed concern over the increasing number of marine animal deaths and stressed the need for further investigation to determine the causes, including possible environmental pollution or human activities.
