KP Government Transfers Over 80 Employees Amid Leak Allegations Linked to Ali Amin Gandapur

Islamabad/Peshawar: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has carried out a large-scale and unexpected transfer of staff at KP House in Islamabad, reportedly over allegations of leaking information about secret meetings involving former chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
According to sources, more than 80 employees have been transferred in one go, including lower-grade staff such as gardeners, sweepers, and attendants, as well as senior officials like the controller and administrator. All affected employees have been directed to report to the Civil Secretariat in Peshawar by Sunday.
Many of the transferred employees had been serving in Islamabad for over two decades, with their families settled in the federal capital. The sudden decision has caused significant anxiety among families, particularly due to concerns over children’s education and disruption to their established living arrangements.
While the provincial government has not officially stated a clear reason for the mass transfers, internal sources suggest the move is linked to political considerations and suspected breaches of confidentiality.
The abrupt administrative action has sparked debate in political circles, raising questions about governance, transparency, and the impact of such decisions on government employees and their families.
