Body of Pakistani Victim Safe-Transferred from UAE to Islamabad After Missile Incident
Abu Dhabi/Islamabad: The body of Pakistani citizen Safirullah, who was killed when debris from a missile fell in Abu Dhabi, has been officially transferred to Islamabad with the cooperation of Emirati authorities.
Officials at the Pakistani embassy in Abu Dhabi completed all necessary arrangements for the repatriation, and the body was flown to Islamabad via a special flight. Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, Safirullah’s remains will be transported by ambulance to his native district, Bannu, where his funeral will take place.
Safirullah had been serving as a driver in Abu Dhabi and was tragically killed when missile debris struck his location. Pakistani diplomatic officials expressed gratitude to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local police for their prompt assistance in legal procedures and the safe transfer of the body.
News of Safirullah’s death has left his hometown in mourning, with family members calling on the government to take stronger measures to protect overseas Pakistanis.
