CM Balochistan Announces Major Development Package After Granting District Status to Barshor

Pishin/Barshor: Mir Sarfraz Bugti addressed a large public gathering celebrating the elevation of Barshor to district status, announcing a series of major development and administrative initiatives for the area.

Speaking at the event, the chief minister said the creation of new districts in Balochistan aims to bring neglected and underdeveloped regions into the mainstream of progress. He reaffirmed that equal development and prosperity across the province remain his government’s top priority.

Among the key measures announced were the upgradation of the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital to a District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital, expansion of police stations, and linking 12 Basic Health Units (BHUs) with modern telehealth systems to connect patients with doctors in major cities. He also pledged to make all 254 schools in Barshor fully operational within a set timeframe.

The chief minister formally handed over the notification granting municipal committee status to Barshor to local lawmaker Asfand Yar Kakar and confirmed the appointment of a capable deputy commissioner to strengthen administrative governance in the newly formed district.

Congratulating residents on the long-awaited development, Bugti said the move fulfilled a vision long associated with late leader Sarwar Khan Kakar. He also strongly condemned a recent tragic incident in the area and vowed to bring those responsible to justice, emphasizing his commitment to stand with the oppressed.

Addressing criticism on social media, the chief minister stated that while he welcomes constructive feedback, he will not succumb to blackmail or pressure tactics. He also made strong remarks regarding Afghan refugees, urging them to refrain from any involvement in unrest or violence within Pakistan.

Bugti further expressed solidarity with Iran and condemned Israeli actions, while praising Pakistan’s military leadership for safeguarding national security. He reiterated his resolve to continue visiting all parts of the province to ensure development and public service delivery.

The gathering concluded with speeches from provincial ministers and local leaders, along with a renewed commitment to advancing development in Barshor and surrounding regions.
