Missing Persons’ Families Should Not Be Ignored on Independence Day: Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch

QUETTA: Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Emir, Haq Do Tehreek leader and MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch has called for effective measures to ensure the immediate recovery of all missing persons, saying their grieving families should also be given an opportunity to celebrate Independence Day with happiness.

In a statement issued on the occasion of Independence Day, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch said that Independence Day was being celebrated in Gwadar, Balochistan and across the country, but many families were unable to share in the celebrations because they were grieving the separation from their loved ones.

He said that innocent and uninvolved people from several families were missing, while their relatives continued to wait for their safe return. He made a heartfelt appeal to the Government of Pakistan, the Government of Balochistan and the heads and senior officials of security institutions to take steps to ensure that these grieving families could also experience the happiness of Independence Day.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman said that these families could truly celebrate only when their missing children were safely recovered and reunited with their loved ones.

He said that all children of Balochistan were like his own children. However, as the elected representative of Gwadar district, he said he also had a special responsibility towards the people of Gwadar, particularly the families of missing persons.

The Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan leader demanded effective and immediate measures for the recovery of all missing persons from Gwadar district so that their families could genuinely celebrate Independence Day alongside their loved ones.

He stressed that the joy of freedom would only be complete when every family was able to live a safe and peaceful life with its loved ones.
