Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti Rejects “Blackmail”, Warns Against Use of Afghan Soil Against Pakistan

Quetta/Brashore: Mir Sarfraz Bugti has declared that he will not bow to pressure from social media campaigns, strikes, or احتجاجی مظاہرے, while reaffirming strong support for Pakistan’s security forces and calling for an end to militant activities linked to Afghan territory.

Addressing a large public gathering in Brashore following its elevation to district status, Bugti said Pakistan had hosted Afghan refugees for over four decades “at great sacrifice,” but lamented that the response had been disappointing. He urged that Afghan soil must not be used against Pakistan and called for an end to attacks on mosques and innocent civilians.

Firm Stance on Governance and Security

The Chief Minister emphasized that his government would not be “blackmailed” into decisions, stating that while political اختلافات exist, decisions would be made on merit rather than pressure. He reiterated full حمایت for the Pakistan Army and expressed confidence in the leadership of Asim Munir, saying the country’s defense remains strong under his command.

Development Announcements for Brashore

Bugti announced a series of administrative and development measures for the newly declared district:

Appointment of a Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) officer as the first Deputy Commissioner
Activation of all 254 schools in the district, with strict accountability measures
Upgradation of the local hospital to District Headquarters (DHQ) level
Linking 12 Basic Health Units (BHUs) with major hospitals in Quetta, Karachi, and Islamabad through telemedicine
Expansion of policing infrastructure with support from law enforcement and security agencies
Official notification granting Brashore the status of a municipal committee
Political and Regional Remarks

The Chief Minister acknowledged political differences with opponents but described them as “brothers,” assuring that legitimate demands would be addressed in the حکومت’s next phase.

On regional issues, Bugti strongly condemned violence against civilians, including in Palestine, and stressed the need for internal stability and economic strength in Pakistan.

Public Commitment

Despite challenging weather conditions, Bugti said he honored his promise to visit Brashore, vowing to continue outreach to remote areas including Toba Kakari. He also praised local leader Asfandyar Kakar for advocating public welfare over personal interests.

The gathering concluded with slogans in support of Pakistan and a renewed commitment to peace and development in the region.
