FBISE Postpones Matric Exams in Iran and Four Gulf Countries Over Security Concerns

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has postponed matriculation examinations in four countries, including Iran, due to the prevailing security situation.
According to an official notification, exams scheduled at centers in Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Iran will not be conducted for the time being. However, examinations at all other overseas centers will proceed as per the previously announced schedule.
The board also confirmed that the issuance of roll number slips for candidates in these four countries has been suspended. Affected students may be given the option to appear for exams in Pakistan or in a nearby country.
FBISE stated that in case of logistical challenges at any overseas examination center, alternative arrangements will be made to facilitate students.
The situation will be reviewed after 15 days, and new exam dates will be announced once the security environment improves. The board added that if conditions return to normal, the remaining papers will be conducted according to the original schedule.
