UAE Faces Missile and Drone Attacks: Over 1,800 Drones Intercepted, Casualties Reported
Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense has reported a major security incident amid rising Iran–U.S. tensions in the region. Today, the UAE’s airspace came under attack, with five ballistic missiles and 17 hostile drones intercepted and neutralized by the country’s advanced air defense systems.
According to official figures, a total of 357 cruise missiles and an unprecedented 1,806 drones have been launched against the UAE so far, with 15 cruise missiles and all 1,806 drones successfully destroyed mid-air. Despite these defensive successes, the attacks have resulted in eight civilian fatalities and left 161 individuals injured and receiving medical care. Experts warn that the scale of missile and drone activity signals a dangerous escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.
