Pakistan Destroys Militant Tunnel, Hideouts in Kandahar and Badini Post in Chitral Sector Under Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq

Rawalpindi: Pakistan’s armed forces have destroyed a militant tunnel, several technical support facilities in Kandahar, and the Badini check post in the Chitral District sector during ongoing operations under Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, according to official sources.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar shared updated figures about the operation on his social media account, stating that so far 684 militants have been killed and 912 injured during Pakistani military actions in Afghanistan.

He added that 252 check posts belonging to the Afghan Taliban regime have been destroyed, while 44 others were captured and subsequently demolished. In addition, 229 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns have reportedly been destroyed.

According to the minister, Pakistani forces have also carried out air strikes on 73 locations across Afghanistan believed to be used by militants and their facilitators.

Officials said that during the night of March 14–15, the Pakistan Armed Forces targeted militant hideouts and military installations allegedly used by the Afghan Taliban and groups described as Fitna al-Khawarij.

Facilities Destroyed in Kandahar

During the operation, Pakistani forces destroyed several technical support facilities and an equipment storage site in Kandahar, which officials said were being used to support attacks against Pakistani civilians.

A tunnel containing technical equipment belonging to militants was also destroyed in the same area.

Badini Post Destroyed in Chitral Sector

Meanwhile, in the Chitral sector along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, security forces destroyed the Badini post, which officials described as a militant jump-off point. The post was reportedly targeted using ground weapons and quadcopters.

According to security sources, the released footage of the operation shows that Pakistani forces carried out precision strikes targeting only militant camps and infrastructure allegedly linked to cross-border attacks.

Officials also stated that no civilian population or civilian infrastructure was targeted during the operation, rejecting claims circulating in some Afghan media outlets.
