Iran’s Strait of Hormuz Will Remain Closed, Enemies Will Pay for Iranian Blood: Mojtaba Khamenei

TEHRAN — In his first statement since assuming office, Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei sent a strong message regarding national unity and regional security.
Addressing the nation, Khamenei declared that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed and emphasized that he will not relent in seeking justice for the blood of Iranian martyrs. He said the Iranian people have shown the world that they are a great nation, and their unity will remain unwavering.
Khamenei warned that any attacks on Iran from U.S. bases would be met with a decisive response, and the nation would defeat its enemies through popular solidarity. He stressed the importance of public support, stating that his authority carries no weight without the backing of the people.
The Supreme Leader also reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to friendly relations with neighboring countries, while asserting that military targets will continue to be engaged as necessary. He highlighted that keeping pressure on enemies requires the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz and urged the Iranian population to remain united.
Khamenei concluded by stating that Iranian forces have prevented enemy dominance and that those responsible for the bloodshed of Iranians will be held accountable, pledging guidance from the Quran to serve the people.
