No Serious Mediation Efforts in Iran–Israel–US Tensions Due to Lack of Trust in Trump: Maleeha Lodhi

Former Pakistani ambassador Maleeha Lodhi has said that no country is making serious efforts to stop or mediate in the conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, mainly because there is a lack of trust in Donald Trump.

Speaking on the Capital Talk program on Geo News, she said that President Trump often engages in negotiations while simultaneously escalating military actions, which makes diplomatic efforts difficult.

During the same discussion, retired Air Marshal Arshad Malik stated that the Iranian public would support Iran’s new leadership and that the chances of regime change in Iran have now diminished.

Meanwhile, retired Vice Admiral Muhammad Saleem warned that if Iran and Gulf countries start attacking each other, they would end up playing into the strategy that Israel wants to pursue in the region.
