JUI-B Warns of Dire Consequences of Rigged Polls in Qalat and Khuzdar, Urges Voters to Protect Their Mandate on March 10

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – Senator Maulana Abdul Wasi of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Balochistan) has warned that the upcoming elections in Qalat and Khuzdar on March 10 could have devastating effects if rigged, engineered, or manipulated polls are repeated, undermining both democratic processes and public trust.

In a statement, he said that the people of Balochistan have increasingly felt that repeated violations of their mandate could lead to widespread political disengagement, strengthening those who claim that the current electoral system and assemblies are ineffective in addressing public issues.

He criticized past delays in allowing JUI-B to assume its elected seats, calling it a blatant violation of democratic principles and voter rights. He alleged that the announcement of elections was immediately followed by the full mobilization of government machinery, appointment of controversial returning officers, administrative pressure, and other tactics aimed at obstructing the party.

Senator Abdul Wasi highlighted that Balochistan’s sensitive political environment makes such engineered setups particularly dangerous. He stressed that historical experiences have shown that ignoring public mandates and imposing manipulated elections weakens democracy and erodes trust between the people and the state.

He further stated that under the leadership of JUI-B chief, a decisive democratic and public movement will soon be launched to restore democracy in its true spirit. He emphasized that every voter’s ballot is a sacred trust, and the party will take all constitutional, democratic, and public measures to protect it.

Senator Abdul Wasi urged the people of Balochistan to actively participate on March 10, not only casting their votes but also ensuring their protection, stating: “A vote is not just a slip; it is the guarantee of public authority, democratic dignity, and political future, and safeguarding it is the true protection of democracy.
