Middle East Tensions Disrupt Air Travel: Over 16,000 Flights Canceled in Four Days

Rising regional tensions have severely disrupted air travel across the Middle East, with widespread flight cancellations affecting millions of passengers, including hundreds of flights from Pakistan.

### 155 Flights Canceled from Pakistan in a Single Day

A total of **155 flights to the Middle East were canceled from Pakistan today**, aviation sources confirmed. The breakdown of cancellations by city is as follows:

* Karachi: 38
* Lahore: 32
* Islamabad: 36
* Peshawar: 16
* Sialkot: 13
* Faisalabad: 8
* Multan: 10
* Quetta: 2

Over the past four days, more than **600 flights from Pakistan to the Middle East** have been canceled.

### Over 16,000 Flights Canceled Across the Region

Across the Middle East, more than **16,000 flights have been canceled in four days** due to ongoing airspace closures and security concerns.

In Iran, approximately **1,000 flights were canceled** as airports faced continuous airspace restrictions. Seven major airports across the region have reported nearly **10,000 cancellations** combined.

In Tel Aviv, around **1,600 flights were canceled** over the past four days. Other affected locations include:

* Jordan: 828 flights
* Beirut and Haifa: 500 flights
* Damascus, Najaf, Basra, and other airports: 875 flights

### Eight Countries’ Airspaces Remain Closed

Airspaces and flight operations in eight countries remain suspended. Major hubs including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Doha, Kuwait, and Bahrain are among the most affected.

Stranded passengers at Abu Dhabi and Dubai airports were accommodated through 34 special flights. Etihad Airways suspended operations until 2:00 PM today after operating 24 flights. Meanwhile, Emirates dispatched 16 flights from Dubai, though several were forced to return.

With an average of 160 passengers per flight, it is estimated that **around 2.6 million travelers** have been impacted by the ongoing crisis.
