Aslam Raisani Walks Out of Assembly, Calls New District Division ‘Anti-Baloch’ and Divisive

**Quetta:** Former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Aslam Raisani, staged a احتجاج walkout from the Balochistan Assembly during its recent session, strongly rejecting the new administrative division of Mastung and Kachhi districts.

Speaking on the floor of the house, Raisani criticized the decision to merge Mastung into the Quetta Division and Kachhi into the Sibi Division, calling it contrary to ground realities. He argued that these districts are home to diverse communities that have lived together for centuries, sharing deep historical and geographical ties.

Raisani alleged that the move appears to be a deliberate attempt to create discord among brotherly communities. He said that merely redrawing district boundaries on paper would not solve existing problems but could instead disrupt the social fabric of the region.

The former chief minister made it clear that he would not accept the decision under any circumstances and vowed to oppose what he termed “anti-Baloch” measures both inside and outside the assembly.
