Balochistan Transporters Condemn Deadly Attack on Passenger Bus, Demand Enhanced Highway Security
Quetta: The All Balochistan Transporters Action Committee and prominent transport leaders, including Mir Haji Hikmat Lehri and Haji Habibullah Khan Badizai, have strongly condemned the deadly attack on an Al Saif Company passenger bus that left four passengers dead and several others injured.
In a joint statement, the transport leaders described the attack on unarmed civilians as an act of brutality and a grave crime against humanity. They said ensuring the safety of passengers traveling on Balochistan’s highways is the state’s foremost responsibility.
The transporters warned that such incidents create fear among the public and seriously disrupt transportation services as well as commercial activities across the province.
They called on the government and law enforcement agencies to immediately arrest those responsible for the attack and ensure they receive strict punishment without any leniency.
Expressing heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the transport leaders urged the federal and provincial governments to take urgent measures to provide comprehensive security for passenger transport on national highways.
