Balochistan CM Mir Sarfaraz Bugti Declares Open War on Terrorists, Highlights Educational and Security Initiatives

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily)** – **Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti** stated that he has no fear of terrorists and is waging an open war against them. Speaking at an **Allama Iqbal Day event** at **Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta**, he condemned propaganda about missing persons, calling it an attempt to defame the province.
Addressing students, CM Bugti emphasized the vision of **Allama Iqbal**, highlighting education, awareness, and self-reliance as the keys to national progress. He urged youth, especially women, to pursue higher education and contribute positively to society.
The CM announced several initiatives for the university, including:
* Allocation of **PKR 10 million** for library books
* **Complete solarization** of the campus
* Upgrading the **auditorium** and naming it after the university’s first vice-chancellor
* Provision of **10 buses, 100 laptops for faculty, 300 laptops for students**, and **10 electric vehicles for female students’ use**
* Expansion of the **Pink Scooties scheme** at a **40% lower cost** than Punjab
Bugti condemned terrorist attacks, highlighting incidents where students were targeted and manipulated through social media for terrorist acts. He reaffirmed that the state stands with victims and is taking strict action against those threatening law and order.
On security measures, he stressed that temporary internet suspension in certain areas was necessary for public safety and that all educational institutions would have **cable internet access** to avoid disruption in learning. He also reiterated that terrorism is not only a fight for the military and FC but a responsibility of every citizen.
Highlighting achievements in education, CM Bugti said that despite attacks in the past, **admissions at Bahadur Khan Women’s University doubled**, and development projects continue. He warned against any attempts to divide Pakistan and called for unity, balanced development, and adherence to the rule of law.
The event was attended by **Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hamid Khan Durrani**, **VC Dr. Rubina Mushtaq**, **Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakr**, and other senior officials.
CM Bugti concluded by urging students to focus on education, love for the country, and follow Iqbal’s teachings to become **responsible, courageous, and enlightened citizens**.
