Notification Issued for Removal of PPP Leader Ali Hassan Zehri from Balochistan Cabinet

QUETTA: A notification has been issued for the removal of Mir Ali Hassan Zehri, a leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, from the provincial cabinet of Balochistan.

According to the notification issued by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail approved the removal under Article 132(3) of the Constitution, on the advice of the Chief Minister of Balochistan. Zehri has been removed from his position as provincial minister.

It is noteworthy that Zehri had earlier submitted his resignation to the chief minister. Following a constitutional court verdict, the Election Commission of Pakistan also issued a notification suspending his membership of the provincial assembly.
