Merit-Based Recruitment Introduced in Balochistan, No Favoritism or Bribery: CM Sarfraz Bugti

**Quetta:** Balochistan Chief Minister **Mir Sarfraz Bugti** has announced a landmark initiative aimed at eliminating favoritism and corruption in government jobs, declaring that candidates who pass tests on merit will receive their appointment letters within one hour.

In a message shared on social media platform **X**, the chief minister said that his first and clear promise to the people of Balochistan was that government jobs would neither be sold nor influenced by bribery or nepotism. He emphasized that the provincial government is taking practical and effective steps to restore public trust and ensure transparent governance.

CM Bugti stated that, for the first time in the province’s history, **111 government positions in the Finance Department** will be filled through a **100 percent merit-based, paperless, and online recruitment system**. He described the initiative as a historic step toward eradicating corruption and implementing institutional reforms.

Under the new system, candidates will undergo online testing, their qualifications and competencies will be assessed transparently, and successful applicants will be issued appointment letters within an hour to ensure swift and merit-based hiring.

The chief minister added that this reformed recruitment system is being launched initially in the Finance Department and will gradually be extended to all other government departments in Balochistan. He reiterated that the provincial government is committed to promoting good governance, transparency, and accountability through the use of modern technology.

CM Sarfraz Bugti concluded that merit, transparency, and fulfilling promises made to the public form the foundation of the Balochistan government’s governance policy, and such initiatives will continue to empower youth and ensure that deserving individuals receive their rightful opportunities.
