Balochistan CM Announces Special Ramadan Package for 328,000 Families; Eight-Member District Committees Formed for Transparency

QUETTA: The Chief Minister of Balochistan has announced a special Ramadan relief package for 328,000 deserving families across the province, aimed at providing essential support during the holy month.

Speaking to media representatives in Quetta, Jahangir Khan, Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), said the package will be distributed in phases across all districts to ensure maximum outreach to deserving households.

He stated that the distribution mechanism has been revised this year to enhance transparency. For this purpose, eight-member District Coordination Committees have been formed to oversee the process and ensure fair allocation of relief goods.

According to the DG PDMA, the Ramadan package has already been delivered to more than 20 districts, while arrangements are underway to complete distribution in the remaining areas soon.

He emphasized that there will be no compromise on quality and that only genuinely deserving families will receive the ration. “No ineligible individual will be allowed to benefit from the package,” he said, adding that the relief package has been designed to cover 15 days’ essential needs for each family.

The DG reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to utilizing all available resources to serve the public and provide maximum relief during Ramadan.
